What packages are available to schools?

The most popular of all our products, Infant Language Link is a key tool in early identification of children's language needs. Our standardised assessment can be used to screen all Reception children. With instant results, you will be able to immediately identify any language needs and implement tailored interventions. The package provides all strategies, language group plans and resources that you need, as well as reports at the click of a button. Ream More
Junior Language Link can be used as a follow on from Infant Language Link or as a stand-alone language product. Following the use of our online standardised assessment with a child, you will receive instant results and tailored intervention plans to target help where it is needed. All the resources, plans, strategies, progress measures and reports you need are provided, equipping you to address the SLCN needs of your children. Read More
If you have a child in any of your Key Stage 1 classes who appears to have a speech sound difficulty, then you can use our assessment to highlight their areas of need and conduct interventions accordingly. The assessment will tell you which speech sound errors need to be addressed at the child's current age and which of those to work on first. All of the resources, plans, progression measures and classroom strategies are instantly downloadable. Read More
Secondary Language Link acts as a Year 7 screening tool, aiming to target communication support where it is needed. Both the interactive assessment and the content-rich intervention programme, 'Talk Fitness' engage young people and reflect the typical language of their educational and social environment. This package also includes SEND CPD training for the school team in the form of two online, on-demand training sessions. Read More

A Speech and Language Therapist asks...

Why do schools choose to use Speech Link and Language Link?

At a time of pressure on school funding, many schools are looking for effective, low-cost solutions to meet the needs of children with SLCN. We know that ideally all children with SLCN should have access to speech and language therapy services when needed, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Our aim is therefore to support schools in meeting the needs of all of their pupils with SLCN- many of whom will not have previously had access to specialist services.

We provide robust assessments in order to identify need and target interventions based on a child's specific results. Interventions are fully planned and resourced and include progress measures. Dynamic reports are available throughout the year, and measured outcomes are recorded. We also offer training and help desk support for users.

Far from replacing it, our packages run alongside schools’ local speech and language therapy service. Many of our LEAs use the packages as part of their referal process to specialist support.

How can Speech Link and Language Link support the work that I already do in schools?

Speech Link and Language Link packages enable schools to screen whole classes and cohorts, set up and manage language groups and speech programmes, download and print session plans and resources instantly, as well as monitor individual and group outcomes. Identified children then receive targeted intervention in small groups or 1-to-1 sessions. You, the Speech and Language Therapist, can then focus more time on providing specialist support where it is needed most, maximising both your time and your expertise.

All of our packages have been designed by Speech and Language Therapists and offer quality resources to take schools from assessment and identification of pupils, to planning, implementation and outcome measurement of speech and language interventions. Schools can use this information to make informed decisions about when to refer a child to speech and language therapy services.

What do your packages do?

We do offer schools online, standardised assessment and screening tools to identify children who may need additional support.

We do provide instantly downloadable intervention plans and resources.

We do offer measured outcomes and instantly downloadable provision maps and pupil profiles.

We do help schools support children with mild to moderate difficulties, and act as a useful referral tool for SaLTs.

We do make recommendations based on the standardised assessment.

Our assessments are designed to identify areas in which some children need extra speech and language support.

Language Link is a standardised assessment designed to highlight delay in the understanding of language. It is not designed to replace a Speech and Language Therapist's multi-faceted diagnostic assessment, and we aim to work in collaboration with local specialist services.

You don't have to be a school to try a demo...

We know that as specialists in the field you will want to have first hand knowledge of the products that schools are using.

A demo will give you the ability to try out the full assessment process, as well as the opportunity to explore the online portal, look at how interventions are structured and see some examples of the reports.
